The Cyber Monday Travel Deals Guide (And A Giveaway)

I know Cyber Monday is still a week away, but since booking hotels and making travel arrangements isn’t generally as spur of the moment as buying a marked-down t-shirt, I wanted to make sure you had plenty of time to scour the best deals and decide on your vacation plans.

Here’s a roundup of some of the best travel-related deals and discounts available during the post-Thanksgiving period this year (although be sure to check the dates – some sales have already started). And don’t forget to enter the giveaway below for your chance to win a Marriott hotel gift card.

Black Friday & Cyber Monday Deals

• Marriott Hotels is offering guests 30% off their best available rates at 13 of their resorts throughout Florida and South Carolina. Nightly rates start at $90 and the deal is valid for travel December 3-23, 2013 and January 1-12, 2014 (dates vary by resort). • The Radisson Blu Warwick Hotel in Philadelphia is letting travelers book their newly redesigned business class rooms for $19.26, reflecting the year the historic hotel opened. You can book at the special rate starting 12:00 a.m. on December 2 for 24 hours or until sold out. • Quark Expeditions, which offers trips to the Polar Regions, is giving travelers the chance to visit Antarctica at half the usual cost. They’re offering 10 departures from December 2013 to March 2014 at 50% off (some conditions apply). The sale runs from Wednesday, November 27 until Monday, December 2. The company also has a deal for 40% off at their online gear shop for the “Polar Base Layers Package” which helps kit you out with the right clothing for a polar expedition. • The Grand Lucayan in the Bahamas is offering up to 60% off stays for travel through November 14, 2014. Promotional rates start at $79/night based on double occupancy, with no minimum stay. Some taxes and resort fees apply. Book online between November 29 and December 2 using promo code BLKFRI.

• St. Lucia’s Rendezvous Resort is offering 50% off room bookings made on December 2. Promotional rates at the couples-only Caribbean resort start at $396 per couple per night (versus the normal rate of $792/night). • Vail Resorts will be offering up to 50% off at several of its locations. • The Hotel Jerome in Aspen, Colorado is giving guests 30% off during their Cyber Monday Sale. There’s a 3-night minimum but the promo is good for travel through the end of the ski season (black-out dates apply). To book, go here.

• If you’re planning to go skiing or snowboarding this season, Liftopia is offering lift tickets at up to 75% off, with prices starting at $7.50/day. The sale is available across more than 120 resorts, including Ski Crested Butte, Colorado, which has lift passes for $39/day – 60% off the usual rate. • Sandos Hotels & Resorts is offering up to 50% off at their all-inclusive Mexican resorts which includes properties in Riviera Maya, Cancun, and Los Cabos. The deal is available on December 2 only and is valid for travel in 2014 (blackout dates apply). • Bolongo Bay Beach Resort on St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands, is offering 50% off on room-only rates in ocean view rooms. Promo rates are $150 per couple plus taxes & service charges. All stays include a complimentary scuba diving discovery lesson, free non-motorized water sports, and nightly entertainment. • The Trump Hotel Collection is offering 30% off all suites at its properties in New York, Chicago, Las Vegas, Waikiki, Panama, Toronto and Miami. • The Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas has a Cyber Monday deal offering rooms in the Casino Tower for $35 on select dates (taxes and resort fees apply). To book, go here.

• The Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas has a 50% off sale with room rates starting at $40 for a two-night stay including a free buffet breakfast. The 5-day sale begins at 8pm on Thursday, November 28 here.

• Omni Hotels has 40% off nightly rates at nearly all of its properties in North America. The offer is good for stays through December 30, 2013 and mid-January for the Berkshire Place in Manhattan. The deal begins at 12.01 am on Black Friday and is available through December 2, but if you’re a member of the loyalty program, you can get access to the deal from Wednesday November 27. • Howard Johnson is holding its annual Orange Wednesday sale on December 4. Travelers can get up to 50% off the rack rate for up to three consecutive nights at any of more than 50 participating hotels throughout the US and Canada. You can see details of the promo here but you’ll have to call the hotel you’re interested in directly on December 4 to get the special rate. Only the first three travelers to call and book at each hotel will get the 50% discount, but if you miss out, you can still get 20% off if you book between now and December 31.
